Cleveland is Cooler Than You Think!
All over the media, in tv and movies, Cleveland gets made fun of. In this year's A-Z Challenge, I'm here to show you everything Cleveland has to offer!
P is for Parks
The Cleveland Metroparks is a vast network of parks around the area that includes more than 23,000 acres in 18 different park reservations. There are 300 miles of biking, hiking and riding trails, 23 fishing areas, 2 toboggan chutes, 5 nature centers, 8 golf courses and 1 nationally acclaimed zoo!
There are also a number of other local parks for each county and even the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
These parks are beautiful even in the winter where many go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and even downhill skiing.
Here we are taking all the kids (including Rory) hiking on a nice summer's day.

Doggy Style (It's really not what you think!)
My three kids have taken up the habit of naming all the different positions our beagle Rory gets himself into. Most of the time even I can't quite figure out why they chose the names they did but I thought it might put a smile on everyone's face to share in this silliness!
P is for Piano Pup
Whenever either of the girls are playing the piano he wants to be as close as he can, usually he just sits on the bench, but somehow this time he got right on top of it!
and Peek-a-boo Pup
For some reason Rory loves to totally hide under blankets and fall asleep there, sometimes it's hard to even see him, at least this time he poked his nose out. :)
Whew! I got this one posted just in the nick of time!
Hope you are all having a great week so far!
Kathy :)

Parks are neat!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful. Our parks around Johannesburg are nowhere near as clean and unpolluted. I envy you. Dog style, I like that and can identify with your kids.
ReplyDeleteBlessings from Geoff in South Africa.
