A-Z Theme Reveal

A-Z Reveal
I hope everyone is having a great start to the week!  I’m having a lovely time! We’re spending Spring Break week in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. This is our first time here and even though it’s been a little chilly on the beach, watching the waves crash onto the shore definitely beats the weather Ohio is getting right now!

Today is the A-Z Theme Reveal Blogfest! I’m really excited to see what everyone else has come up with. It’s always so fun to see the amazing creativity in this group!  It took me a while to decide on my topic but I finally did it!

So now without further ado I give you my A-Z for 2016...

Cleveland is Cooler Than You Think-
All over the media, in tv and movies, Cleveland gets made fun of.  In the 2015 movie Trainwreck, starring Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, and LeBron James, LeBron tries to convince Hader’s character, Aaron, how great Cleveland is. Here’s part of their conversation: courtesy of IMDb:

LeBron James: When are you gonna come to Cleveland?
Aaron: I'll... I'll come when I have the time. I just don't have the time right now. I'll come when I have the time. I've been really busy.
LeBron James: You visit me in Miami all the time.
Aaron: Yeah, but that's Miami.
LeBron James: What's the difference between Miami and Cleveland? It's the same.
Aaron: You're right. It's the same.
LeBron James: Exactly.

Okay Cleveland isn’t Miami but it actually is a really great place to live and I’m here to prove that if you accidentally get stuck in Cleveland for a few days, there are plenty of things to see and do and I think you might really enjoy it! (and yes I’m writing this post from a gorgeous beach in the Outer Banks! -I do see the irony! :))

If that wasn’t enough, I’ve decided to end each post with a sweet little surprise that has to do with this adorable face that has captured my heart!

Can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with!  Have a great week!

Are you doing the A-Z? What's your topic?  Have you ever accidentally been to Cleveland?

Problems with Google+

Hey Everybody,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful support and feedback you gave me on my Insecure Writer's Group post!  I have a totally new outlook on my blogging and hope to be much more present!  Thank you Alex for starting up such a great support network, it has helped so many of us!  If you're not part of the IWSG, click here to join us!

I hope you are all having a great week!  Mine is going pretty well but I have a question for all of you who know your way around a computer better than me, which is probably all of you!

For some reason, my Google + profile page continues to post the Insecure Writer's Support Group Picture as my most current blog post picture. I've tried changing all the settings, I tried looking in the Help section, but I can't figure it out.

Does anyone know how to change the pictures that are posted? Help me bloggy friends, you're my only hope!

Thanks and have a super day!

Kathy

Insecure Writers Support Group

It's time for another Insecure Writer's Support Group post, hosted and created by Alex J. Cavanaugh!  This is where we come together to post our fears, insecurities, and successes.  If you'd like to join us sign up here, and then go visit others on the list to give your encouraging words to someone in need.

My big insecurity this month is that I have a really hard time with consistency in both blogging and writing in general.  I know it is ultimately up to me to carve out the time in the day to get to my writing/blogging, but somehow other things always seem to get in the way.  I'm working really hard this year to change that because I've loved writing and creating stories ever since I could read.

Honestly another big part of my inconsistency, especially in blogging, is that sometimes I feel like I don't really have anything to write that would be useful to people.  I don't want to just write a bunch of nothing that fills up the blogosphere and isn't helpful.  I did a lot of thinking this last year during all my time off and I'm hoping I've come up with a solution and a bunch of topics that I can blog about.  I guess you guys will be the judge of whether or not it's interesting and useful! :)

What are your insecurities or fears this month? or do you have some great news to share?

Hope you're having a great week!

A-Z Challenge is Almost Here!

The A-Z Challenge is almost here!  If you've never participated in it, it's a wonderful way to meet lots of new blogger friends!  Every day except Sundays, in the month of April, post something that corresponds to each letter of the alphabet from A-Z.  It seems to work best if you have an overall theme to tie all your posts together and write at least some of them in advance, but you can choose to do it randomly as well and as creativity strikes you (it's just a lot harder that way!).

It all started back in 2010, when Arlee Bird decided to start the challenge to celebrate his 200th follower!  Since 2010 it has grown exponentially in participants.  This year there are already 940 blogs signed up to participate!

I think this will be my 6th year doing the challenge.  I'm excited this year because I'm actually a little more organized!  I have planned to pre-write most of my posts so that I'm not scrambling around each day!  And even though I haven't been blogging much lately, I think it's a great way for me to get back into the swing of things.  After all The A-Z is one of the most fun and challenging blog hops I've ever participated in!  Check out all the details here and add your blog to the list!  March 21st is A-Z Blog Theme Reveal Day, so sign up for that too! And don't forget to read yesterday's post on the A-Z blog for great tips on how to get your blog ready for the Challenge.

Have you signed up yet?

Hope you're having a great week so far!

Kathy
